For help using Framade, bug reports, or privacy requests, contact Wang Peng at [email protected].

Include your app version, macOS version, Mac model, the error message, and steps to reproduce the issue. Please do not send API keys, passwords, or private photos.

Getting started

  1. Open Framade on an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later.
  2. Select a photo folder and choose whether to import copies or reference the original files.
  3. Select a photo and adjust light, color, crop, or portrait parameters. Choose a new destination when exporting.

No account or API key is needed for local editing. The app does not overwrite original photos. If you import by reference, keep the original files and their storage device available.

Unable to open or export photos?

  • Check that original files are still in their expected location, external drives are connected, and the selected folders have access permission.
  • Select the affected folder again to grant access. Before exporting, check the destination’s available space and write permissions.
  • Portrait tools depend on reliably detected facial or body regions. Occluded or incomplete regions may allow only partial adjustments.
  • If the issue continues, send the error text and steps to reproduce it. Hide file paths, personal information, and private photos before sending screenshots.

Optional OpenAI cloud features

Cloud features are off by default. Enable a feature in the cloud editing advice or generative edit copy panel and save your own OpenAI API key. Review the content before confirming each request. Text advice sends your description and basic editing parameters; generative image editing sends the image version and prompt you confirm. The key is stored in macOS Keychain.

OpenAI API charges are billed to your OpenAI account. The app’s one-time purchase does not include API credits. If a connection fails, check your network, key permissions, and account balance or usage limits. If a request’s outcome is uncertain, check your OpenAI usage records before deciding whether to retry.

How do I control or delete data?

You can disable cloud features or remove saved API keys in the cloud editing advice or generative edit copy panels. Text advice and image generation have separate cloud controls. You manage the local library, edit records, caches, and exported copies on your Mac. Save editing results you need before deleting a library or cache. Disabling cloud features does not retract requests already sent or delete data held by OpenAI.

Read the Privacy Policy for the full explanation of information handling. Contact the email address above to request access, correction, or deletion of information you supplied to support.

Getting started for App Review

No Framade account or sign-in is required. Select a folder containing photos, import by copying or referencing the files, select a photo, make local adjustments, and export to a new file. Local editing requires no OpenAI key. Optional cloud features are off by default and require the user’s own OpenAI API key and confirmation of the request content before sending. Requires macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon.
